Overview

The PCI Express serial bus is capable of transmitting data at the rate of 2.5 Gbps. This extremely high rate of data transmission is achieved by transmitting one bit per second over a "lane," which consists of 2 pairs of wires (2 wires for transmitting and 2 wires for receiving). A single connection can achieve a burst mode transmission speed of 320 Mbps. MOXA's PCI Express Boards are designed to fit any PCI Express slot.

MOXA's Universal PCI series meets the new slot standard for expansion boards that is being adopted by PC server manufacturers. These universal PCI boards work with both 3.3-volt and 5-volt slots, allowing Moxa's boards to be used in virtually any PC server available. Choose from boards with 2, 4, or 8 independent RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 serial ports for connecting data acquisition equipment and other serial devices to a PC.
