CI-134 Series

4-port RS-422/485 ISA Boards

The CI-134 Series of multiport serial boards is designed for RS-422/485 industrial communication. CI-134 supports 4 independent RS-422/485 ports that can control up to 128 devices in a multidrop environment, and provides a reliable communication link over a longer distance (up to 4000 ft).

To ease 2-wire RS-485 half-duplex control, Automatic Data Direction Control™ intelligence is built into each CI-134 board, eliminating the need for additional software. In this way, Windows applications can manage the RS-485 port without needing extra code to control the half-duplex protocol.

To meet the demand of high reliability in an industrial environment, optical isolation (2 KV) and surge protection (25 KV ESD) options are also available with the CI-134 Series of multiport serial boards.
