CIMPLICITY Version 7.5 Offers More Flexibility Than Ever Before - Tuesday, April 22, 2008

GE Fanuc have announced the availability of CIMPLICITY Version 7.5 the latest addition to their HMI/SCADA products. Version 7.5 offers more diagnostic tools, security, development tools, connectivity and more flexibility than ever before.
CIMPLICITY 7.5 extends the product's ability to solve your toughest supervisory monitoring and control projects.  Whether upgrading an existing system, or implementing a new project, CIMPLICITY 7.5 will provide you with the power, flexibility, and ease of use you need.

·Digital Graphical Replay: The Digital Graphical Replay or DGR lets you go back in time and graphically analyze events that occurred in the past.  Using data that is logged in Proficy Historian or SQL Server, the DGR lets you replay graphical screens to determine cause of events or alarms, allowing you to optimize your application, or prevent conditions that led to alarms.  You can play back from a point in time, or have the DGR search for conditions in the data and automatically set start and stop times based on those settings.  Play back in slow motion, real time or up to 10x the speed.  You can also view multiple screens just as if you were viewing live data.

·Screen Navigation: An important part of most HMI/SCADA development is providing the ability for operators to easily locate the correct screens. Add navigation to your applications quickly and easily using a drag and drop interface to create a hierarchical menu that appears in your tool bar.  Colors and fonts can be configured so that screens can follow themes.  This new capability saves hours of development time, and makes operators more productive. 

·Advanced Viewer: The new advanced viewer provides the power of the existing viewer with the addition of direct OPC connectivity.  This direct OPC connectivity gives you extra flexibility in how you architect your systems.  Advanced viewers can access OPC data servers directly without the need to configure a point on the server.
·Security Enhancements Use Windows domain security to further secure your CIMPLICITY applications.  You can map windows group membership into a role, and a set of resources for the users as they authenticate against a project.  Use your existing security configuration to save configuration time, reduce the number of passwords your users need to remember, and make use of existing IT password policies.

·Application Deployment: Deploy your applications to the viewers quickly, safely and easily using the new application deployment capability in CIMPLICITY.  No need to manually copy the application files to the viewers, updated application files can be placed in the application server, and the viewers will automatically detect changes and update the files without user interaction. Running viewers will have the option to update live displays automatically or ask the operator when to update.

·Proficy Historian: Updates Integration with Proficy Historian has been enhanced to allow logging and retrieval of Alarm and Events data in addition the historical data that could already be logged. Applications can be configured to log data and Alarm and Event information to Proficy Historian, SQL server, or both providing increased flexibility.

·UTC Handling: Logging of data and events is now logged optionally using UTC time stamps CIMPLICITY has also been enhanced to allow dynamic handling of time zone or Daylight Savings Time changes.
