Brodersen is launching a new Industrial Controller based on an open, embedded PC platform.  It offers all the advantages of an industrial PC, combined with the robust, industrial performance normally associated with a standard PLC.

The RTU32 is extremely compact with built-in power supply, UPS facility, digital and analogue I/O.  The open 32-bit WinCE platform offers fast, real-time control and gives you the flexibility required to implement solutions involving the individual control and monitoring of applications within the process and automation market. 

It is also an advanced network communicator with RS232/485, Ethernet and USB ports which can handle standard as well as application specific protocols like Modbus, IEC60870 and SNMP.  You can log data and there is a built-in Web Server which is used for configuring the controller, but it can also be used for designing a Web page with a graphical/visual presentation of the specific process. 

Programming of the RTU32 is done using a standard EN/IEC61131-3 PLC type of programming language,  applying simple configuration tools for generating IEC60870 code or, if preferred, programmed in or in combination with C/C++, .NET C#/Visual Basic. 

RTU32 offers you the best of both worlds in process control/monitoring and factory automation.  It is a valuable addition to the established range of controllers available from Brodersen.
