Star Delta Starters

The Benedict range of open style Star Delta starters are supplied prewired and ready to accept overload to be ordered separately. A Star Delta timer is integral within the prewired unit ready for incoming and motor wiring to be connected.

Din Rail mounting up to 55Kw and supplied on back plate from 75kW to 160kW.

The Star-Delta starting method is only practicable in such cases where the motor windings are connected in delta configuration for normal operation and the torque which is needed during the starting period is not greater than approx 30% of the rated torque. The staring current drawn from the line will be approx. 2 to 2.7 times the rated motor current.
