CI-132 Series

2-port RS-422/485 ISA Boards

The CI-132 Series of 2-port serial boards is designed for RS-422/485 industrial communication. CI-132 supports two independent RS-422 or RS-485 ports, with each port able to control up to 32 devices in a multidrop environment. This series ICI 2-port serial boards provides a reliable communication link (RS-422/485) over a longer distance (up to 4000 ft), and is suitable for industrial environments.

ADDC™ (Automatic Data Direction Control) intelligence is built into each CI-132 board to eliminate the need for software interference. This means that applications can easily manage half-duplex RS-485 port data transmission and receiving without the need for extra code. In addition, on-chip hardware flow control, built-in termination resistors, and optical isolation and surge protection options are able to deliver high reliability for harsh industrial applications.
